The control point mouse.

The control point mouse.

While I was searching for a new wired mouse, (bloody batteries for the wireless) I found a Logitech MX 518.

The mouse has an adjustable DPI sensitivity (two buttons on top), which even works without drivers,
(I don't like drivers :)

While to mouse is meant for gamers, I works beautifully with setting control points as well.

Just click a few times on the little buttons, and the mouse becomes "slower" and more precise.

Some more details:

1,600-dpi resolution Optical Engine delivers pixel precise tracking (Whatever that may mean)

5.8 megapixel/second image processing. (So I can do a EOS 5D Image in little over 2 secs :) )

Up to 15 g of acceleration. (Good so I can use it in my F-16 as well)

Just kidding, it works nicely....

I paid 450.000 Rupiah for it, which I thought was a lot, but its about 50 USD, seems about the right price....

Bert,

I found graphic pen much more versatile tool both for CP placing and editing panos in PS. I work with low-end Wacom panel (less than $100) over year now and just wonder how I could live without it :)
