Immervision

Postby mhc1 on Sat Sep 23, 2006 2:57 pm

Hello,
I just made some panos with Quicktime and I loved the way to integrate MP3 Files.

Is there a way to do this with Immervision ?
I would love to create the website with Immervision but need to implement mp3´s.

Would the tools provide me with approriated help say a GUI that
helps creating the applet call ?

Thanks
Mike

immervision & sound

Postby mstoss on Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:00 pm

Seems reasonable simple, like this line from their doc shows:

<sound id="my_sound" visible="true" volume="50" file="sound.au" play="true"/>

In this case it is an *.au file, but mp3 should work as well. No support by the GUI, I'm afraid, apart from creating the basic code for the applet. But for this you can use their free tool as well, no need nor advantage to buy the PureTools software for this purpose alone.

mp3

hi michael :-)

yes i´ve seen the docu and tried it like this:
---------------------------------------------------------
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<panorama xmlns= "http://www.immervision.com/panorama">
<panoSphere>
<image file="nwd1.jpg"/>
</panoSphere>
<camera>
<entrypoint pan="20" tilt="10" fov="120"/>
<limits maxFov="140.0" minFov="60.0" />
<autopath>
<move pan="-3"/>
</autopath>
</camera>
<panosphere>
<sound id="my_sound" visible="true" volume="50" file="sound.mp3" play="true"/>
</panosphere>
</panorama>
----------------------------

but the pano does not even load- it stops during the GUI.
without the üanospher tag and sound- line : all fine.
any idea ?

btw: waht are the "free tools" and where to get ?
on their webside are only players and their "normal" tools .

hm, I'm sorry. The one thing I wait for with these immervision things is a real Drag 'n Drop solution. I have never sat my into the immervision coding. They promise and promise and promise... and keep on promising, whilst we have to wait, and wait and wait ... and keep on waiting. Any geek here around to solve this sound problem???

Regarding the "free tool" I think of the "G2FileBuilder" they used to offer as a simple GUI. Obviously they have replaced it by the PureTools software.

Puretools...

Looks like.
The tools really do a lot of helping- if you don´t want to work with
the xml files.
There is a video at vrmag.com that shows the activity of the tools.
But as far as I know: no MP3 - only AU files for sound integration.
Also the transition between 2 panos must be bought separately.
