Immervision Flash player!

Postby mstoss on Wed Dec 13, 2006 1:23 am

Well, finally Immervision released its flash player!

http://www.immervision.com/en/multimedi ... ts_2_4.php

It is free for pure tools users, but it is only loading the packaged version of the immervision panos. They have updated their gallery with flash versions of the arounder panos. Unfortuneately I was not able to open the panos in fullscreen flash. A warning states, that I either don't have Flash 9 installed (which I do have) or the pano author has not allowed opening the pano in fullscreen mode.

Seems, that I have to create a flash pano on my own, eh?

Let me try...

I have the latest Flash installed , and it works fine....

Yes the IVP file necessity is a drawback.....

They must use it for commercial reasons.....

Maybe they would have a bit more success if they used the same licensing structure as Aldo Hoeben's fieldofview director player.....

What still is a problem though is that Flash pano's distort :?

Straight lines become wavy at the edges of the pano.......

Can you see the fullscreens as well? I can see the normal sized flash version. Rightclicking tells me, that I do have Flash 9 installed.

Yes I can.

I already had Flash 9 installed, but could not see the fullscreen until I upgraded to the latest version of Flash.

Just go to the Adobe site, and download the latest....

Anyway, I ordered the Immervision software...

Want to try it myself....

oh... my fault: I mixed up my installed flash player (8!) with the displayed info on the flash file version itself (9)... I checked at the Adobe site. Sorry.

On the other hand important to know, that 8 is sufficient to see the panos, as long as you don't switch to fullscreen!
