Hotspots

Postby Robert Fisher on Thu Nov 30, 2006 6:55 am

Can anyone easily tell me how to apply "hotspots" to my pano's. I have three pano's and I want to apply hotspots to two of them but I can't seem to make them work unless I open the pano on my computer. I'm using PTGui.

Well, it is a QTVR that is viewed in with Quicktime. But I can't seem to find anyone that can help me learn how to set up the hotspots properly with Pano2QTVRgui.

Oh...

I never used QT hotspots... To me QT hotspots seem to difficult to spot for the ordinary user.... I remember myself studying very hard the first few times...

In pano2qtvr it seems pretty straight forward to me...

What is your problem? Would be happy to try to find out and learn something on the way...

( i made my first vt here : http://www.northbalivillas.com/buktibea ... operty.php , the pano's are not to great, but at least I understand how it works :) )

Hotspots..

Robert:
it´s easy in Pant!QTVR:

start Pano2ATVR
load a project or create a new one
select "Hotspota"- tag and
"activate " this
Pano2QTBR creates a PNG fuile and tells you that there is none, so you
click "create"
You are now able to create hotspots with different form-tools and different
targets. e.g. html-files or quicktime files.

I tried it and found it a little hard to make a complete tour, because you have to write your hotspots down for each pano so you don´t forget which hotspot points to where.
But it works fine though.
Ciao
Mike

If you own a mac, I can recommend CubicConnector from Clickheredesign for this task. It's drag'n'drop and it works fine in a very easy to understand manner.

Michael
