I was able to test the new Tokina 10-17 fisheye zoom on my Canon 20D during the Photokina. Though it seems, that it does not really have 180° coverage in the diagonal, it is sufficient to make a panorama with 6+1+1 shots with excellent quality. It is sharp, has moderate CA only, only a bit lens flare. The output size when using a camera like the 20D is nearly 10.000 x 5000.

When zooming out to e.g. 17mm this will probably serve well for cylincrical panoramas as well, e.g. in cities. This could make this lens to an allrounder for panographers. Well, for landscape shots you would still need other lenses as well.
